Family | Son's Special Moments

Looking through my computer and found some dated photos of my son's special moments.

His first day to school this year on Monday, 3rd January 2005. Going to Saint Hilda's Primary School over at Tampines Street 81 as a Primary 4, class of 4/9 Faith.

Special to us because it was his first day taking the public transport instead of the school bus.

Just to get a photo of him before he left for school.

He insisted that he was well and good taking the TownLink Service 293 all by himself, since the bus stops at home and at his school are right in front of the buildings. Subtle sign of him growing up.

It was easy to decide to let him off the chartered school bus of 3 years and use the public transport because he showed great confidence to handle and decide wisely for himself and his maturity for his age of 9 years.

He is growing well and with good self-esteem and confidence. I am proud of him.


This photo was taken on Saturday morning, 27 August 2005.

He made himself a healthy sandwich of salad,, banana and apple with mayonaise, strawberry jam and peanut butter on a wheat bread for breakfast. He called his masterpiece as Special Sandwich. All meal and desert in one.

Offerred to make one for me, but I gracefully declined... not sure about mayo and strawberry jam together which what he said was what made the sandwich special. I'll stick to my chunky peanut butter sandwich.

Together with his favourite "never-can-do-without" Dutch Lady strawberry milk. Notice the keyword here is strawberry.

He enjoyed the whole meal in front of the TV with his favourite Cartoon Network character Spongebob Squarepants (mine too).

My wife and I are relishing his growing-up years together. Thank you Allah for this blessing.
